I’ve been hanging onto some things that I love and it is time for me to share- so say the sheep! This listing includes signatures and ephemera from Miss Nettie Bishop’s handwritten recipe ledger. It was not in good shape so I took it apart and kept each signature together. The ephemera was tucked into the ledger. It measured about 5 x 8 inches and had a mahogany colored leather cover.

The only info I can confirm at this point is Nettie and her family lived somewhere in Connecticut. I was unable to find pictures but will continue to search. If I find any further information, I will be sure to send it to whomever purchases a signature from her ledger. The only dates I found were 1896 and 1926. I think that dates both books to those time periods and forward. The names indicate one could be from her mom’s side of the family, the other her husband’s mom.

There is a difference in the beautiful handwriting so maybe these started out as her grandma’s? Handed down to her mom then to Nettie? For now that’s the best I can tell Nettie’s story.

The paper pack includes one signature with 12 pages (24 front/back) of handwritten ledger; 1 blank ledger page and ephemera that was tucked inside the ledger.
