You’ve probably figured out my almost favorite thing to come across is a ledger. I absolutely love them. So full of history and what a fun thing to sit down and read about grocery prices all the way to a London Lawyer’s case ledger!

The cover is from an original ledger- I do not have the history of where it came from. I believe it was a general store. The cover has wear you would expect due to its use over so many years. I made sure everything was secure but left it as I found it because it has so much character.

There are 26 pages (52 front/back) of mainly handwritten ledger pages that range from 1875 to the 1920’s. Most of the ephemera is also vintage and relates to office supplies and work.

This ledger measures 12 x 7.5 and there is plenty of room to write. The sheep have lightly decorated the journal so you would have room to add your own ephemera and story. The sheep always include a bit of paper and ephemera for you to use. All it needs now is you!
